Interdisciplinary Water Symposium

Making Water Visible

Ish Gad at the Interdisciplinary Water Symposium

Posted by Jim Stagge on October 29, 2025

I'm happy to highlight the work of MS student Ish Gad, who recently delivered an oral presentation at the Third Annual Interdisciplinary Water Research Symposium. Held on October 29th, 2025, at the Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center, this student-led event is a cornerstone for the Ohio water research community. Sponsored by the Ohio Water Resources Center (WRC) , the symposium serves as a venue for students, practitioners, and policymakers across the state to share innovative ideas and develop cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Ish’s presentation, titled "Testing the waters: toward transparency in hydrological futures," explored how making water infrastructure can be made more "visible" within suburban contexts. By reimagining how we share and reuse water at the suburban scale, Ish’s work challenges us to think more about our water footprint and how we communities can work together to solve common challenges.
